Job Title: Course and House Director
The Role:
Edenderry Golf Club is currently recruiting for an exciting new role within the club. The role will offer a wide range of duties across a number of different areas within the club. The individual will work alongside and supervise the club’s greenkeeping staff. The role will also encompass being an integral part of the running of the Clubhouse and involvement in the marketing of the club with the long-term aim of increasing club revenue.
Summary of the Role:
Course related
- It is paramount to maintain and improve the visual and playing quality of the course in order to enhance members and visitors playing experience.
- Day to day course maintenance to include greens, fairways, tee boxes, bunkers and rough.
- You will be expected to implement effective turf care programs, including mowing, irrigation, aeration, fertilisation and pest/disease control.
- In relation to team leadership, the successful candidate will lead, train and develop the greenkeeping team, ensuring efficient operations and high, consistent levels of performance.
- Equipment maintenance to include servicing and the safe operation of all greenkeeping equipment and machinery.
House related
- Ensure general upkeep and development of the clubhouse are in line with the expectations of the club.
- Liaise closely with the Bar and Catering staff to ensure smooth running of operations within the clubhouse.
- Run promotions and events to increase revenue within the clubhouse.
People Management and Finance
- Budget Management will be crucial. The cost-effective use of resources while maintaining high standards is central to the role.
- To ensure Health & Safety compliance to all relevant regulations with both staff and visitor safety in mind.
- The successful candidate will work closely with the Club Committee to develop, co-ordinate and implement plans for house/course development with increasing revenue as a key objective.
- Collaborate with the current volunteers who will continue to play a central role in how the club is ran.
Salary – Negotiable based on experience. Attractive Bonus based on revenue performance.
Working Hours – Flexible/Seasonal.
